1 Star Solor Heater hasn't provided any temp increase
I've purchased this solar heater and the tempature of my pool has stayed the same. I've been running it for almost 3 weeks now, perhaps I need a second unit, but as of now, the temp hasn't budged....;o(

I had trouble with the thing leaking the very first time I turned the pump on, after turning the pump off, went to check it and the one fitting on the bottom that is closest to the edge of the unit fell out in my hand, after looking at it, it came to me that it was not locked into place, putting it back in the same way it came out, rotating it 90 degrees to the outside edge, it snaped into place, I checked the directions and nowhere does it say to lock this fitting into place, the reason I guess is that if they locked it, it would not fit into the shipping foam, the direction's s@#k, if you look at the very end of the directions, you will see it where they show 2 of them hooked up together, after that it has been alright so far, keeping my fingers crossed.

1 Star Horrible waste of money
I could not be more furious. I just attached this to my pool this morning. I glanced outside this afternoon and half of the water in my pool had emptied out. The hose just fell right out of the bottom of the system -- not where I'd attached it, but where it should be clamped onto the unit. What a complete waste of money! I'm returning it today.

1 Star DO NOT BUY THIS!
I bought 2 of these hoping that they would heat my small above ground pool. Within one week of installation, one of them burst at the seams, draining my pool about 2 feet. Another week went by and the other burst as well. I had to return them to Amazon.com. DO NOT BUY THEM!!!

1 Star Leaks, burst and didn't heat my 5,000 gallon pool
This product is poorly made.

Leaks

- The two connectors easily come off so if someone moves it and accidentally bumps one of these they could easily turn and start leaking.

- After too weeks a small spray of water started leaking out of one of the rubber stoppers on the bottom of the unit.

- When I turned over the unit to look at the above mentioned leak the hose cracked on top and started spouting water. Had to immediately disconnect the whole unit.

Heating

- I only have a 5,000 gallon pool and I didn't see any temperature increase over the 2 weeks I used it. It was in the sun for about 5 hours a day with the filter running for those entire 5 hours each day.

The plastic cover

- When the unit gets warm the 4 clips that hold the cover down pop off and it is impossible to get all 4 clips down again.

Hoses

- The hoses included are very short and chances are that you will need to put it further away to get it in the sun so you may have to buy more hoses.

I would not recommend this product to anyone. The whole time I had it connected I had to be worry about the thing leaking. It is a great idea for a product but I just wish it was better constructed and heated better.
